A small excavation in 1971 at All Saints Church identified a possible Roman pit.

Full Description

{1} Pottery of the Romano-British period was found.

{4} Minor excavation by D.N.Hall in 1971; within the north-west angle of the church between its tower and nave at SP74727122. A pit or part of ditch was revealed with Romano-British pot sherds and roof tile.
