{1} Find of possible Romano-British timber bridge piles made during straightening of River Welland in 1970. The site is on an almost exact alignment of the projection north of the Wakerly/Fineshade parish boundary. Suggests a possible road alignment. The finds were examined by a fieldworker from Stamford.
