Full Description
{1} A Bronze Age pit was found during the excavation of the Anglo-Saxon cemetery in 1970. A small amount of pottery and a number of hazelnut shells were found. Some 27m to the north of the pit was an isolated, deep posthole. Fragments of Bronze Age pottery found embedded in the subsoil around it. Sherds of Beaker and Collared Urn found.
