Full Description

{1} Finds of Romano-British coins. A Dupontius of Nero was found in 1966 by P.Arnold; coins of Magnentius & Constantine I have also been found since 1957. Northampton Museum also holds 3 coins from this area.

{2} (d) at SP 80525504, Roman coins of Nero, Magnentius and Constantine I.

{5} Enquiries failed to locate P Arnold. Northampton Museum hold 3 coins from this area.

{6} SP 80435510 Roman bronze coins found a few years ago by R Coles of Carey Road whilst digging his garden. Identified by Northampton Museum as probably Gratian.

{7} SP 804551 Roman bronze coin found (in 1973) by A Elliott whilst digging his garden in Main Road. Identified as a constantinopolis type, AD 330-346 "This is the sixth coin, all late, that has turned up in three adjoining gardens
