Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking survey found Roman pottery and bronze coins of Gratian; six further coins were found in three adjoining gardens in 1957;

{2} SP 804551 Roman bronze coin found (in 1973) by A Elliott whilst digging his garden in Main Road. Identified as a constantinopolis type, AD 330-346 "This is the sixth coin, all late, that has turned up in three adjoining gardens"; also much 2nd-4th century pottery".

{5/7} (SP 80525504) Dupondius of Nero. P Arnold 1966. Coins of Mangnentius and Constantius I, found since 1957

{6} Enquiries failed to locate P Arnold. Northampton Museum hold 3 coins from this area.
