Find Spot record 3527/0/2 - Possible prehistoric flint scatter and cropmarks, south of The Old Lodge

Please read our .

Summary

A slight flint concentration was identified south of the The Old Lodge during fieldwalking survey. Cropmarks were reportedly seen in 1962 by R Hollowell. Although he was subsequently able to confirm the approximate location to the Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, he was unable to locate the photograph. The nature of the cropmarks is unclear. None are depicted on the cropmark plot contained in Jackson 1995, which deals with salvage work on cropmark sites in the vicinity in advance of gravel extraction.
