Summary

A slight mound apparently overlaid a headland between two end-on furlongs. It has now been ploughed flat. Possibly a Bronze Age round barrow.

Full Description

{1} An earthwork mound, 1.2m high

{2} "Tumulus" shown on map at SP873709

{3} A slight mound, 10m in diameter and 1.2m high, apparently overlies a headland between two end-on furlongs on the common fields of the parish. Its date and purpose are unknown.

{4} Earthwork circular mound, c.10m in diameter, of uncertain date and function. It has now been ploughed flat.

{6} Tumulus' shown at SP 873 709.

{7} The only feature with any resemblance to a tumulus in the area is a slight mound 1.2 metres high at SP 8729 7075. In its present state it is impossible to say whether or not it is a tumulus. Surveyed at 1:2500.
