Summary
A well, Roman pottery and leather were found c1936, the site of which has probably been quarried away. [SMR Note 09/10/2007: uncertainty about ngr for these finds. In 1982 RCHME gives an alternative location to the north in Pitsford parish, but still states that the site is "south of Boughton Grange".]

Full Description
{1} A well with Roman pottery and leather was discovered c.1936 at SP74506575.
{2} Roman settlement & well south of Boughton Grange. Well & Roman pottery & "leather" said to have been discovered in this area in 1936; site has been quarried away; [given ngr is SP745657];,
{3} Roman settlement & well south of Boughton Grange; well & Roman pottery & "leather" said to have been discovered in this area in 1936; site has been quarried away; [given ngr is SP742672]; notes that OS record cards give wrong ngr;
{4} A well and Roman pottery and leather discovered c.1936 at SP74506575; additional note states that neither trace nor local knowledge of well at indicated site; present owner knows only well in vicinity of SP74456525 [this is ngr given on card]; field to be quarried in near future.
{5} There is neither trace nor local knowledge of a well at the indicated site. The present owner who acquired the property some time after 1936, indicated the only well he knew in the vicinity at SP 74456525. The field is to be quarried in the near future.
