Excavation identified the remains of a well. Its location suggsted that it had probably been a water supply for livestock.

Full Description

{1} Excavation identified a post-medieval well and wooden pumpstick. The well was made of local sandstone and consisted of 30 courses; it was dug through broken sandstone into underlying blue clay, the base was 3.92m below current ground level. The position of the well suggests water supply for animals.
