{1} One of two hand-axes found in 1965 in gravel spoil.

{3} (SP 73506043) Pa hand axe from Weedon Road gravel pit, found in 1965 by M Richards. In Northampton Museum.

{4} Mr M Richards (84 St James's Park Road) confirmed the find spot as in authy {3}; he stated that the axe was found in a gravel spoil heap.
