Full Description

{1} A fine bronze spearhead of M.B.A. type (illustrated) was ploughed up in a limestone area. It has two lozenge-shaped loops, each decorated with a line around the edge. The damaged butt is decorated with a series of adjoining lozenges executed in shallow pin-pricks surviving only in the dull green patina. Length 13.5cm, but the tip is missing. As of January 1972 it is on loan to Northampton Museum. A perambulation of the field produced two white patinated cores, two scrapers and a worked flint flake, the flints were not concentrated in any one area.
