Full Description

{1} Earthworks of building platforms of the deserted medieval village of Pipewell. Earthworks around the present village are difficult to interpret as some probably belong with the abbey remains. Immediately south of the church is a series of scarps and banks as well as a building platform (a) on plan. These appear to lie outside the area of monastic activity.
