Summary
Road widening south of Denford in 1979 in area of medieval earthworks. A short length of wall was observed. Some unstratified medieval pottery was collected.

Full Description
{1} Finds of 1979; 26 medieval pot sherds found by G. Foard during road widening south of Ringstead. Located in area of hollow way and house platform/croft. Earthmoving was angled down to the modern road surface from the ground level above. A short length of wall was observed but did not appear to continue.
{3} Village earthworks on SE side of modern road surveyed. Large rectangular building of medieval date, and metalled hollow way running south eastwards from modern road, recorded during road widening.
