Full Description
{1} Enclosure and ditches south and south-east of Stone Pit Lodge. None is clear on air photos, but two parallel ditches, a rectangular enclosure and a possible hut site are traceable. Fig.53.
{2} Crop marks of fragments of linear ditch, possibly part of a rectilinear enclosure, and a circular enclosure with a central pit, measuring 15 metres in diameter. Immediately to the south-west of the circular enclosure is a dark macula measuring c.9m across.
To the north of these features there are two parallel linear ditches around 8 m apart, aligned east-west, which appear to be part of a fragmented trackway extending to the east, cutting through the NW circuit of a Neolithic causewayed enclosure (TL09SW35) at FCE TL04109296.
These features were mapped as part of a 1:2500 scale level 3 photogrammetric survey of the causewayed enclosure, undertaken for the Industry and Enclosure in the Neolithc Project. This was set up by the Cambridge Field Office of the RCHME. The survey was carried out by the Air photography Unit of the RCHME between the 8th and 9th August 1995. Copies of the resultant plan, digital files and report are held by the RCHME
