Full Description

{1} There are dovecotes at both Cotterstock Hall and Manor.

{2} Included in the outbuildings to the west of the house is a C17th rectangular dovecote of rubble, with about 250 nesting boxes.

{3} Two-storey building of local limestone with Collyweston roof. Walls are 2ft6in thick. It measures 24ft by 20ft, height to the eaves 16ft and to the ridge 28ft. Three feet below the eaves is a moulded stone string course; set in this string course on the south-west wall is a small glazed window. There is also a modern door on the same wall. In the south-east gable end there is a narrow stone-edged opening with a double-opening wooden door below. The building has stone quoins and stone gable copings, with a weather vane but no lantern. The conversion into a two-storey building and the brick floor are recent additions. Ten rows of nesting boxes in the lower storey, none in the upper storey; photographs;
