Full Description

{2} "Thenford House was built by late Mr. Wadhull about 1765; lord of manor is S. Army Severne Esq."; illustrates Severne Arms.

{4} Michael Woodhill, Esq. House only. Second editon 1791.

{5} Present handsome mansion surrounded by thriving plantations erected by late Mr Wadhul c1765. (Sheriff of Northampton 1783 - family at Thenford c15th century). 350 acres old enclosure, inclosed Act of Parliament 1766 - 950 acres total. Sam Amy Severne. Lord of Manor - 850 acres - inherited 1824.

{6} Manor house seat of great antiquity, part built during reign of Queen Elizabeth. Present Lord - John Woodhall, Esq.

{7} Thenford House. Begun 1761, inscription on engraving of Michael Woodhull, completed probably by 1765.

{8} Coalbrookdale gates - account book exists - CRO.Owner in 1988 - Michael Heseltine.
