Full Description
{1} Find of the gravestone of Nicholas de Flore (AD 1334) Abbot of St James' Abbey. Now located at Duston Church.
{2} Part of ?Niedermendig lava quernstone? (who identified?) used as part of capping for wall. Diameter approx 16 and a half inches.
{3} The churchyard has been extended on at least three occasions: to the west in 12/4/1872, to the north-west in 21/5/1903 (under Earl Cowper) and to the south (the annexe) in 26/1/1925. The dates quoted are probably consecration dates. Lychgate built 1906, part of a cottage wall is to be found under the north side (west end, inside).
