Full Description

{1} 45 coins, mainly Roman, including a hoard of sestertii were found in July 1991. The bow of a Colchester type fibula brooch and a late C4th zoomorphic belt buckle were also found. A subsequent watching brief carried out on 5/7/91 uncovered limestone features and pottery were also identified in the trench along with possible walls and a surface or road.

{2} 44 coins ranging from 2 very worn sestertii of Trajan to a coin of the House of Theodosius. The 2 coins of Trajan formed part of a small hoardlet of 6 sestertii dating down to Lucilla; they are all very worn. Of importance is part of a late 4th century zoomorphioc buckle. Found June and July 1991 and seen by Northampton Museum.
