Description

{1} A watching brief undertaken during a topsoil strip for a gas pipeline identified limestone 'exposures' and recovered Roman pottery in difficult circumstances. Possible walls/surface observed along the line of bridleway. In the same area metal detectors found a number of Roman coins, including a small hoard, a brooch and a zoomorphic belt buckle.
