Full Description

{1} A watching brief undertaken in 1986 by S. Parry discovered an ovoid Bronze Age round house consisting of three concentric linear features; the innermost palisade wall was 10.5-12m in diameter; one metre out from that was the wall foundation ditch which was cut by shallow postholes; the outermost 'ring' was a possible eaves drip gully; late Bronze Age pottery was recovered from the site;
