Summary

A possible Saxon settlement located north west of the parish on Northampton Sand, suggested by finds of Early to Mid Saxon pottery recovered during fieldwalking survey in 1975.

Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking in March 1975 recovered three early-middle Saxon pot sherds (black quartz gritted). Finder: B.Bellamy.

{2} Possible Saxon settlement site.

{3} Fieldwalking in 1975 did however recover several sherds of early to mid Saxon pottery at SP89347565.
