Full Description

{2}Magnetic anomoly identified during geophysical survey. Linear alignment of slag covering an area of approximately 35m from north to south and 3m wide. Small spade cut confirmed the presence of slay in the topsoil to a depth of approx 0.30m.,
{3}Magnetometer reconnaissance survey was undertaken and significant anomaly was detected. Associated with it were surface scatters of tap-slag of unknown date. A simple spade cut into the topsoil revealed no underlying archaeological features.
