Full Description

{1} The Hunsbury Hill Mines were closed in 1912. The south pits (Grange & Wootton Hill Pits?) remain undisturbed to show shallow depth of overburden and heaped spoil due to trestle-and-barrow method of removing overburden. Photograph, looking south.
