Full Description
{1} Sometimes called Dodford Brewery; on south side of A45 almost opposite Dodford turn.
{2} Situated behind the house now called 'The Old Queen's Head' at the east end of a short terrace. Brewing commenced in the early 19th century by John Smith and his family continued to run it until c.1875. Herbert McMullen had the brewery from c.1880 until it was sold in 1882 as a 5 quarter plant, powered by a 3 horsepower steam engine, after which brewing seems to have ceased.
