Building record 7051/1/10 - WWII Pillbox

World War II brick and concrete cantilevered pillbox with entrance to the west. In 1995, used for storage. At edge of commercial yard, south of Chipping Warden Airfield.

{1} Pillbox - 5m diameter circular structure of brick with cement aperture and roof. Access from north side. Currently used as storage. Presumably related to disused airfield to the north.

{2} Circular mushroom type pillbox, built above ground with little earth protection. The entrance opens to the west. Brick and concrete. Good condition. Associated with Chipping Warden airfield and AA site at SP490/499. (Location plan and photographs accompany report.)
