Archaeological watching brief undertaken during the excavation of a pipeline identified undated features to the west of Spring Lane.

Full Description

{1} The watching brief identified two undated features at the western end of the pipeline. There was a dense scatter of small to large limestone fragments up to 0.20m deep with occasional burnt stone pieces. No dating. Set in a slight earthwork hollow. There was a also a linear cut feature 0.30m wide and up to 0.25m deep. Orientated NxS. No dating material - possibly a field drain.
