Full Description
{1} Ironstone wall running east-west across Trench D. Later in date than the medieval quarries but no dating evidence was found. A length of brick wall ran at right-angles from it in a southerly direction. Also a brick-lined well was revealed.
{2} A large medieval pit more than 0.9m deep was revealed cutting into the natural subsoil. 108 late C13th pot sherds were recovered from its fill. A further pit was also found beneath a single foundation course of an ironstone wall. Directly to the west of this pit there was a brick-lined well.
