Summary

An earlier chapel of 1713 used the gardens as a burial ground. Human remains found in 1985 during renovations to the later chapel may been from this or placed in the aisles of the chapel

Full Description

{1}Re-set gravestones of 1787 & 1837 in paving to front & side of chapel;,

{2}Human skeletal remains were found during renovations at College Street Chapel in 1985-86. The present building replaced an earlier chapel of 1913 in which the gardens were used as a burial ground. The remains are presumably from this or those of burials placed in the aisles of the chapel.
