Full Description

{1}Speed refers to this road as Sheep Market, marked E on the map. Leads from the Drapery and Market place to the North Gate (C).
{2}Sheep Street by this has been divided and from St Sepulchres Church it is called North End. The road route leads from the Market Place and the Drapery to the North Gate although not shown on the map by Noble and Butlin in 1746.

{3} Photo of the window of the Billiard Room at the Ram Hotel, Sheep Street, dated 7th February 1971;

{4} Two photos of buildings, noted as being nos. 64 to 68 Sheep Street, dated 22nd April 1962, also noted as having been demolished in June 1962;

{5} Five photos of buildings, noted as being Barber's, Dr Doddington's Academy, Smith Bros and Partridge's, dated 16th February 1956, now demolished;
