Full Description

{1}Area of extensive ironstone quarrying revealed by magnetometer survey and trial trenching. Area believed to have been quarried between 1875 and 1895 by Stanton Ironworks Company Ltd. Post medieval finds from quarry area included large iron stud or bolt, fragment of tile and 5 pieces of glassy slag.
