Summary

In the early 19th-century the mill was described as being built of brick and tile with thatched dwelling house adjoining. It was sold in 1919, but never worked again and was demolished in 1976.

{1} Mill still standing today was described in 1894 as roller flour mill which was powered by steam & water; managers at this time were J.G.Daniels & T.C.Thompson; Duston "Upper" is one of few remaining mills; in state of disrepair; old millstone stands outside

{2}Duston Mill ceased working in 1919 and was finally demolished in the 1970s
