Full Description

{1} Romano-British pot vessel containing 42000 silver-washed copper Antoniniani of mid to late C3rd; includes coin of Tetricus.

{5} A hoard of mid to late third century antoniniani and an accompanying pot found during roadworks in 1963. Gives findspot as ngr SP916667 (Check, could this be a second coin hoard from these roadworks?).

{6} On 22 March 1963, a Roman coin hoard was found by workmen. The hoard was in a pot containing by weight 42,000 silver-washed copper Antoniniani of the middle to late 3rd century. The pot was buried about 3ft under the topsoil in clay; it had been covered with a Collyweston stone tile.
