Full Description
{1}Small stone lined pond adjoining west side of a stream with a dam at NE side of the pond. The pond measures approx 15m by 20m and is heavily overgrown and partially silted. Dam at NE end is of earth with stone revetement on inner face. Seven courses of cut stone blocks with brick used behind as infill. Rest of pond revetted with rough hewn stone slabs.Possible that pond may be sited on spring. Pond associated with ornamental parkland/gardens of 18th century Fineshade or associated with industrial use?
