Building record 6294/1/12 - Former Railway Offices, Cotton End

Former railway offices. Two storeys with attics. Red brick with stone detailing. Locally listed building.

{1} Railway offices with a plain but robust classical design with much original detailing intact.

{3} The railway offices were recorded as part of a wider suite of archaeological investigation and survey ahead of redevelopment. Although derelict for a number of years, the building was in good condition primarily because the floors and stairs are of concrete. Many original features survived though some of interior had been gutted by fire.
