{1} Clearly marked with tree planting.

{2} Beyond the lake Brown made a vast sweep of lawn to the outskirts of enclosing woodland.

{3} Expansive lake beyond which rises a beautiful lawn nearly a mile in circuit and belted by stately woods.

{5} "….a noble lawn nearly a mile in extent the smooth features and soft tints of which are contrasted by the bold and abrupt aspect of the dense woodland scene terminating the view….".
