Full Description
{1} Numerous mounds and hollows, similar to Barnack Hills and holes. Probable medieval/post medieval stone quarry.
{2} Extensive quarrying remains are present and include multiple small quarry pits and spoil heaps, with the remains of a stone wall around at least parts of the perimeter of the field. Traces of ridge and furrow may be present within the north eastern part of the field which is known locally as 'Stone Pit', a field immediately to the west, now under arable cultivation, being known as ' Middle Stone Field'. Stone, including both limestone and ironstone is utilised in the nearby boundary walls.
