Full Description

{1} Fieldwalking; black patches and C1st Romano-British pot sherds, 6 quern fragments and pebbles found; info: D.N.Hall 1978/79.

{2} C1st Roman sherds and six fragments of quern stone at SP91578597. This could be the site at SP916857. There are many black burnt areas around here, apparently due to forest clearance in the C18th.

{3} Dark area on watershed with pebbles. Small site and only two sherds of Roman pottery (pottery previously reported).
