{1}FIELDWALKING; OCT 1991; NAU CONTRACTS; 18 SHERDS EARLY-MIDDLE SAXON; 14 SHERDS LATE SAXON/MEDIEVAL; 33 SHERDS POST MED POTTERY (1);
{2} 19 sherds of early middle Saxon pottery were recovered, along with a single sherd of late Saxon and 14 sherds of medieval pottery. The light scatter of early middle Saxon pottery covered an area c.1ha. No other concentrations were defined. Fragments of limestone were scattered across the field, particularly on the eastern side. Although no particular concentration could be discerned they may relate to the underlying manor house site.
