Full Description
{2} Cropmarks of sinuous boundaries or trackways visible on aerial photographs for nearly 1km. Aligned east to west. At the western end the boundaries are over 350m apart but they gradually converge towards the east. The northern boundary comprises two parallel ditches 7m apart, while the souther boundary comprises just a single ditch along most of its length. There are extensive cropmarks at the western end within the area between the two boundaries, although it is not known whether they are contemporary. These include a pit alignment, aligned approximately north-south and visible for over 170m. A further pit alignment is aligned north-west to south-east and is visible for over 170m. This cropmark is much more faint. Further pit alignments may also be present. There are numerous pits in the area as well as a possible curvilinear enclosure.
