Full Description
{1}The modern civil parish of Greatworth includes Halse and Stuchbury (q.v.).
Greatworth was enclosed by agreement in 1634 followed by a Chancery Decree and Letters Patent (NRO XYZ 991). There is a map dated December 1634 (NRO XYZ 990) showing the closes within the settlement, but no buildings are shown, and the new enclosures in the south of the township. The tithe map of 1845 shows Greatworth fully enclosed and the mapped data has been taken from this.
