Full Description

{1} Four ditches located to the North and Northeast of the round mound which may form part of an enclosure system, although nothing was found to suggest the presence of an associated settlement nearby (a few fragments of Roman pottery were found in the upper filling of the ditches). Soil analysis has suggested that animals were herded in the vicinity, and the the ditches were surrounded by weedy disturbed ground.
