Summary
Significant quantities of Iron Age and Roman pottery were found at a site that was destroyed by quarrying in 1984. Also observed were wall foundations and cobbled surfaces.

Full Description
{1} A Sestertius of Antoninus Pius has been seen at Northampton Museum.
{2} Wall foundations and a cobbled surface were reported by S.P. Wainwright in January 1983. Several sherds were found here in February-March 1981.
{3} A bronze celtic coin of Cunobelin, Mack 242, was found in 1984 at the Roman site being destroyed in gravel workings.
{4} About 300 pot sherds, mainly C1st and C2nd and including some "Belgic" types, and pieces from a fine ware vessel with red-brown painted lines and dots. Found June-July 1984 at a Roman site being destroyed by gravel quarrying.
{5} Copper alloy coin of Tasciovanus found in 1984. Now in Northampton Museum.
