Full Description

{1} Medieval rubbish pits were cut into the infilled quarries and soil samples were retained from some of the rubbish pit fills. Eight samples were taken: deposits sampled are thought to date from the C12th and later medieval periods. Charred remains of cereals and charcoal were present in three samples.
