Full Description

{1}A Roman causeway crosses a paleochannel. This paleochannel represents an early channel of the River Nene. The palechannel fill had been penetrated by root growth, but seeds from a sample of the deposit suggest that infilling occured in the late Devensian/earliest Holocene.
