Full Description

{1} Settlement found during excavations by Baker in 1878-9. Unspecified Roman finds, a drain, at least two wells and stone foundations were discovered. This area lies immediately east of the remains of the medieval settlement of Chester and some of the finds may be connected with the latter.

{2} Two stone cesspools connects by underground drain with buildings and the river; marked on plan, Fig.10.
