Full Description

{1} Cut into the gravel was a series of ditches with identical fills of dark grey silty clay containing a small amount of medieval pottery.
The trial trenches demonstrated that archaeological features of medieval date do survive to the rear of the Home Farm complex, below a shallow covering of soil. These are presumed to be part of the deserted medieval village.
