Full Description

{1} Hellidon Pit was operated between 1951 and 1962.
The branch line to the new quarry north of the Priors Marston Road was completed to serve the largest of the Charwelton system. Hellidon quarry was worked anti-clockwise in a sweeping arc as far as the Hellidon Road from the crossroads. In the centre was Attlefield Barn, which was not touched.
