Summary

A Royal Observer Corps monitoring post. The site was built as part of an extensive network of posts designed to confirm and report hostile aircraft and nuclear attacks on the United Kingdom. It was opened during March 1961 and closed in September 1991. At the time of the Defence of Britain survey the site was found to have been destroyed. It was located underground on the south side of the track to a quarry, 125 yards east from the A45.

{2} Source: Gibson M.L. (1982). Gibson identifies 19 Observer Posts in Northants during WWII including that at Duddington (Identifying number F2, No 15 Group, Cambridge)
