Full Description
{1} Excavation 1972-76. Finds of worked flints of Neolithic type including scrapers, points and cores. A single Bronze Age type flint arrowhead was also found. Some of the small pits probably date from the Neolithic.
{2} The earliest finds consisted of a fine series of worked flints, including blades showing signs of secondary working, round scrapers, points and one fine arrowhead. Discarded cores were also found. Most probably the first casual occupation of the site was Neolithic and some of the small pits must date from this period. The arrowhead is of the elongated non-barned variety, and must be assigned to the Bronze Age.
