Full Description
{1} Decoy control blockhouse at cSP789570 reported by M Rumbold 1/2/1999. Subsequent rapid inspection by G Cadman and S Hollowell on 1/3/1999 confirmed that this was infact a water tank and not a blockhouse. It lies on margin of arable field alongside Great Houghton to Preston Deanery Road. Built entirely of concrete c3.20m long x 2.30m wide and stands c1.20m above ground surface. Flat roof with square opening in SE corner and with ventilator or other pipe at N end. Interior not inspected. Good condition. Excellent views to SE over area of 'starfish'.
